MY HUSBAND AND I GOT TO THE HIGHSCHOOL AT NOON AND STOOD IN THE HOT SUN UNTIL NEARLY 1:30. WE WERE AMONG THE FIRST IN AND GOT GOOD SEATS. FOR BEING EARLY, WE SAT THERE A LONG TIME ALSO BEFORE THE PROGRAM BEGAN. WE HAD SOME TOUGH QUESTIONS FOR THE PRESIDENT, BUT WERE NOT SELECTED TO ASK THEM. THE WHOLE THING SEEMED ON THE UP AND UP. AS ALWAYS, THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM!

My wife and I had tickets and they told us no more room was available at 2:30. They did continue to allow suits, accompanied by well dressed women, in without tickets. How can you trust elected officials when their staff lacks the ability to count seats and gives preferential treatment to some. Salazar should apologize. The important people could have given up their seat and read the office memo.

Just not well planned out. I was excited to get a ticket, but then was turned away at the gates. As disappointed as I was, I'm just hoping its due to lack of time allowed to plan an even such as this. Heartbreaking

I waited in line just like everyone else with a ticket. Got in and had a good seat right behind the young Republican that Challenged the President to a debate. That Video made National coverage. There was more negative coverage by ALL three local stations! The questions were well presented, to the point and must were from Republicans. The people in attendance were civil, polite and mature. As for that young man who was so full of himself. He bragged in line that he didn't need to go on line to get a ticket. He had connections in high places. After the President left this young student jumped up and sniffed out as many a news broadcasters with a TV camera as he could. To get his fifteen minuets. You know that news people call TV cameras "Idiot Magnets ".

Yeah, John, yeah. That's the ticket. It was a big liberal conspiracy to keep the real thinkers of Grand Junction from backing that dullard Obama into a corner with their keen intellects.

My daughter and I got in because we had tickets fair and square. There were no pre-selected or pre-submitted questions. People with questions raised their hands and he called on them and the microphone was brought over. No one knew what the question was until it came out of the mouth of the questioner. We got there early (with our tickets and our picture IDs)12:45 PM and got good seats. If people come late, they get turned away.

I'd be interested to know if the gym was filled with vetted people with pre-selected questions before the locals here showed up with their tickets and were sent away. Was this a way of keeping anyone with a real hardball question from getting in?
