An accident on I-70 briefly closed down the westbound lanes at 26 ½ Road Tuesday.
The accident happened just after noon when Grand Junction Police say a woman driving westbound thought she saw a large animal in the road and swerved to miss it.
She then overcorrected and sent her car spinning into the guard rail just under the 26 ½ Road overpass.
She received minor injuries and will not be ticketed.
C–DOT says there is no damage to the bridge but the center guardrail will have to be fixed.
