The latest phase of Mesa County’s energy master plan is now available to the public.
The county has assembled a new local energy atlas that shows how local energy resources can be reached with the least amount of harm to the environment.
Officials with Mesa County say it’s important to have a plan even with the slowdown in the energy sector.
The county will hold three meetings to talk about the new energy atlas and other topics.
The first meeting is Wednesday in Gateway, followed by a second meeting at the Old County Courthouse in Grand Junction on Thursday.
