A local biker group says after a recent run-in with a family that had just lost their home, they decided they needed to do something to help and others during these tough economic times.
The Christian Motorcyclists Association has just launched its first ever Christmas in July drive.
From now through Thanksgiving, the group is collecting any items that will help the needy including food, school supplies, clothes, personal items, toys, and everything else in between.
"We all have needs, especially at this time," said Bill Ogan, a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association. "Times are really rough, but there's people out there who are way more needy than we are and our goal is to help those people."
