Man suffers medical emergency, runs into power pole

A truck slammed into a power pole Friday afternoon knocking it down and sending one man to the hospital.

The accident happened at 3434 G ROAD around 11:50 a.m. Friday.

Colorado State Patrol says a 48–year–old man suffered some type of medical problem while driving and crashed into the pole.

He was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Troopers say he’s facing charges for driving without a license.

Xcel Energy and Bresnan Communications were called to the scene.

Xcel had to completely replace the pole.
