A 23–year–old Grand Junction woman has been formally charged with neglect and third degree assault after an assault on a resident at an assisted living facility.

Errin Hubbard was in court Tuesday. She is not being held in jail after posting a $1,000 bond.

Hubbard was arrested last week on charges of third degree assault and neglect of an at-risk adult after she was accused of covering a patient’s face with a pillow.

The arrest affidavit says Hubbard stuffed a rag in the victim’s mouth and covered her face with a pillow many times to keep her quiet, even before the last incident when a co-worker witnessed it and reported her.

Friends and family who were with Hubbard in court Tuesday said they had no comment.
