The man police say is responsible for locking down the Redlands two weeks ago after a domestic violence incident is behind bars Tuesday.
Forty four-year-old Clifford Guill has been in the hospital since the incident August 19.
He was released from the hospital and arrested on charges of domestic violence, first degree assault, felony menacing and prohibited use of a weapon.
Police say after getting into a fight with a woman at a home on Hill View Drive he threatened to kill himself and pointed a gun at her.
They say he then drove to a home in the 2300 block of South Broadway and assaulted his ex–girlfriend’s boyfriend.
According to the arrest warrant, Guill hit and kicked the man and then pointed a gun at his head and told him, “You and I are both going to die tonight."
Police say the boyfriend’s mother fired a shot into the air to scare Guill away.
Guill later crashed into a ravine on Redlands Parkway and was rushed to the hospital.
