Congressman John Salazar's office has released details about a teleconference town hall meeting he will hold Thursday.

According to the Congressman's website, he will hold two such meetings -- one for constituents in the Pueblo and San Luis Valley regions September 2 and one for constituents on the Western Slope September 3.

Salazar says he will be calling many of his constituents randomly on those days to see if they would like to participate, but that anyone interested in the call can dial in.

The Western Slope call will start at 7:20pm on Thursday. To participate, dial 877-229-8493, then when prompted dial 15148#.

The Western Slope Conservative Alliance is also hosting a town hall meeting of its own Thursday, September 3. That meeting is open to the public, and will begin at 6:30pm at Brownson Arena on the Mesa State College Campus.

Have tried many times to get in on the phone town hall meeting but due to high volume could not get on, we need health care reform now, I am a senior on medicare and have seen in my area the Dr's who won't take medicare and won't take medicare advantage plans at all, all they want is Rocky Mountain Health care and the reason is that they don't have to deal with the problems with other health insurance agencys, my husband has his employer health care, and they won't accept but one agency due to the problems, we need a public option to force the insurance co's to bring down costs and reduce paperwork, please John vote for a public option to force insurance Cos to do the right thing for the american people.

I believe Congressman John Salazar has choosen to have a teleconference "Town Hall" Meeting becasue he is unwilling to meet with the people he represents because of the overwhelming negative views to the proposed goverment run health care system. John Salavar you need to be willing to meet with the people in your district face to face!!!
