Each year, Mesa County agencies have a fundrive to benefit the local chapter of the United Way.
This year, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is trying something a little different, it’s a yard sale.
A boat is just one of the items that’s available Friday morning at the Sheriff’s Office Yard Sale.
These items have all been donated by employees at the Sheriff’s Office.
Some items include furniture, exercise equipment, books and electronics.
This Yard Sale is a new approach this year, but according to the Sheriff’s Office, they’ve had a great response from everyone who’s getting involved.
You can help out with this fundraiser just by showing up.
It runs from 8 a.m. Friday morning until 12 p.m. right outside the Sheriff’s Office.
All proceeds from the sale will go directly to the Mesa County United Way.
This is an organization that’s celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year.
The funds from United Way go into programs that benefit the community.
Each year, companies and agencies all over the county get together to raise money.
