39 million Americans are expected to travel this Labor Day holiday. That's actually down more than 13 percent from this time last year. This Labor Day Weekend a local group is making sure those drivers are fueled up to make the drive.

On Highway 50 at the Escalante Canyon drivers will notice a unique sign, advertising free food and drink. Something drivers find hard to pass up. But this highway harbor is only here several times a year, on summer holidays. It's a rest stop for the weary travelers. And what better place to stop for a quick rest then Highway 50?

Oddfellows and Rebekahs of Cedaredge Colorado host the whole operation, with one goal in mind; recharge those drowsy drivers with homemade snacks and drinks. In fact the group runs a 24 hour shop for the whole weekend.

While some people feel inclined to leave a buck or two, the Oddfellows and Rebekahs say it’s not required. They just want to make sure everyone makes it to their destination for a happy holiday weekend.
