Man facing kidnapping charges eluding police while driving limo passengers

A Grand Junction man faces four kidnapping charges after failing to pull over when police saw him driving a limo without a license.

Thirty eight-year-old Damian Cole was arrested Sunday after he ran away from deputies Saturday night.

A deputy who knew he wasn’t supposed to be driving saw him take off in a limo with four people inside, all of whom knew Cole.

The passengers told Cole to pull over, but he refused.

Officers followed Cole and parked behind him when he got the long vehicle stuck on a median.

Cole got out and ran but deputies didn’t chase him.

Instead, they stopped to check on his passengers after the limo rolled backward into a patrol car.

No one was injured but they were shaken up.

Cole faces four charges of second-degree kidnapping, endangering public transport, vehicular eluding and driving when his license was revoked.
