Wingate Elementary students traded in their thinking caps for hardhats Wednesday morning.

Learning how to become the next Indiana Jones.
It was Explorer Day where students learned about the National Monument and John Otto, the park’s first ranger.

They also learned how the Monument was formed and the years it took for it to be such a great display of nature.

Explorer Day is quite fitting for the school. Their mascot name is the Explorers.
