GRAND JUNCTION, CO (KKCO) --- On a lucky day, one Grand Junction family felt lucky to deliver the newest member of their family. Alexander Robert Orient was born on 9/9/09 at 9:09 a.m.
It was just another day of miracles at Saint Mary's Hospital. The Orient family and their new family member Alexander Robert are thrilled to be a part of it. "It's amazing," says mom Deana. "It's overwhelming at first that I'm a mom of two kids. It's pretty special."
Beyond bringing a new life into the world, it is timing which makes the birth of this baby even more special.
Wednesday was 9/9/09, and the 4 pound, 13 ounce baby boy was born at 9:09 a.m.
His name is coincidental too. Spelled A-L-E-X-A-N-D-E-R, which happens to have 9 letters.
Also, as of 7 p.m. Wednesday night, Alexander was one of nine babies born at St. Mary's Hospital.
Perhaps even more amazing, Is the Orients did not plan for this to happen.
Alexander was supposed to be born two weeks from now, but doctors decided to do a caesarian section, bringing the bundle of joy into the world at the lucky time.
