If you won $10,000 would you spend it all on yourself?

Or would you do what one amazing Grand Junction teacher is doing?

As she was buying a gift card for her niece, 3rd Grade Teacher Alice McCary signed up for Mesa Mall’s ‘Inspire Your Style’ sweepstakes.

She was shocked when the Mall told her she won.

But instead of buying a new wardrobe, McCary is giving it back to her class at Tope Elementary School who will decide which charity they want to help support.

Even more incredible, an anonymous person sent McCary $10,000 more dollars.

She says she will also put that towards her students and they will use all of it for a good cause.

One correction! My plan is to involve more than just my classroom students in giving to the community. The more students who can experience the benefits of giving to others, the better.
