11 News sat down with Grammy award winning rock group Los Lonely Boys at Rock Jam 2009.
Reporter Tim Ciesco had the chance to speak with the three brothers who make up the band -- Henry (guitar), JoJo (bass), and Ringo Garza (drums) -- before their set Friday night. Here is what they said:
11 News: Tell me what you guys think of Western Colorado and how do you like doing a big show like Rock Jam?
Jojo: "It's awesome. We just got back from Iraq and Kuwait, and I tell you what, we really are blessed to be from America. Being here in Colorado, we are in America and it's number one!"
Henry: "We feel great, fantastic -- we did come back from Iraq and Afghanistan playing for the US troops and it was a life changing experience, we were just happy to bring some home to them."
11 News: After going through that experience, what it is like playing on September 11th?
Henry: "It's a very memorable day because everybody knows it's 9/11 -- so we dedicate this show to all the victims and families of 9/11."
Ringo: "God bless all of you."
11 News: Switching gears a little, your last album "Forgiven" came out in 2008. When can fans expect something new from you guys and what will that new album sound like.
Ringo: (puts fingers up to ear like listening to an ear piece) "This just in, I'm being told it's October 13."
Jojo: "It's gonna be a good thing. It's paying tribute to the great love and music and peace of . Even though things were going on as well in that time, the music was awesome, it was pure, it was innocent."
Henry: "Just three brothers getting to play some songs that everybody knows, and it was a good era and a good time. We're just happy to put a little twist of Texican rock n' roll on a couple of those songs."
