A large construction dumpster at the Star Tek building on North Avenue caught fire early Tuesday morning.

They say they were initially able to knock down the flames quickly, but then were on the scene for more than two hours removing the contents of the dumpster in order to extinguish hot spots.

The massive trash container had old carpet and mostly empty buckets of glue in it.

Firefighters say the contents were all flammable, and they burned for quite a while.

No structures were damaged in the fire.
