Police are warning anyone planning on having a yard sale to beware of someone paying with counterfeit money, especially $50 bills.

They say it’s happened at least five times in the last few weeks.

The suspect is a Hispanic male about 25 years old.

He has been wearing a white t-shirt with jeans or jean shorts and tennis shoes.

And was seen driving a silver SUV.

Police say if the suspect tries to buy something from you with a counterfeit bill to call 911 and try to get his license plate number.

If you are already a victim, don’t use the money, instead, file a report with police.
