Grand Junction Police say a local teenager is very lucky to be alive.
They say 18-year-old Stormy Daily crashed her Chevy Impala in a canal early Thursday morning, and her car was completely submerged.
She was able to swim through a broken window to the surface, and had to swim to shore.
According to authorities, Daily was headed westbound on G Road when she failed to negotiate a curve.
They say she hit a guardrail, rolled the Impala, and became airborne.
Police say she then walked home dripping wet.
