Mesa State College will host its second open forum to discuss the possibility of banning tobacco use on campus Thursday night.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in Room 110 of the new classroom building located at 1400 Houston Ave.
The Associated Student Government says some students have expressed interest in reforming the campus tobacco policy because they are concerned about second-hand smoke and the improper disposal of cigarette butts.
Students against the ban say their smoking does little damage on campus and if tobacco is banned students would have to gather near busy roads to smoke and that would make the college look bad.
The meeting is open to the public.
