It's a Calabash at the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens this weekend!
What's a calabash you ask? Apparently, it's some sort of bottle-neck gourd. A gourd that's in good company at the Festival of Gourds hosted by the Botanical Gardens Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
This family-friendly event will include a flower show, exhibits, beer garden, games, contests with cash/prizes, vendors, music, demonstrations and, of course, gourds.
Proceeds benefit the Western Heritage Garden. Tickets are $5/adults, kids 6 - 12 are $3 and kids under 6 are free.
