Two local churches were broken into Friday night and police say there is a good chance the crimes are related.

Saturday morning police were called out to Unity Church on 12th Street after a wedding party arrived and found someone had broken in.

The bride's laptop that had all the music for the wedding on it was stolen along with one of the groomsman's tuxedos.

A safe in the church was destroyed and the thieves rummaged through the office. Police say the burglar or burglars may have even stopped to eat chips and dip in office.

The reverend of the church says he just glad nothing was vandalized.

Just across the street, Lighthouse Church was also broken into. About $30 in candy was taken from the church. Things were also rummaged through but again nothing vandalized.

Anyone with information on these breakins is asked to call the anonymous Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 241–STOP. Remember Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
