Despite the rough housing economy, the ‘Parade of Homes’ got plenty of foot traffic.
Realtors and builders with the ‘Parade of Homes’ say there was still a lot of interest this year.
They say attendance was steady throughout the weekend, although Sunday’s rain showers did put a bit of a damper on things for a little while.
Builder Ron Abeloe says the ‘Parade’ is a great way to get people interested in new homes and hopefully spur the local housing economy, “I really appreciate the fact that they do this because the real estate community turns out and so does the community at large and we can never get this many people through our product except for an event like this."
Abelow says offering more affordable homes in this year's ‘Parade’ did help out, but he says a lot of people still enjoy the event for the chance to tour the fancier and more elegant homes.
