Mesa County teen arrests are up for both boys and girls.

But it’s the girls that are leading the spike.

According to statistics from the Senate Bill 94 Project, during the first six months of the year, 120 boys and 61 girls were arrested in Mesa County.

Although the overall number of boys arrested is more than that of the girls, officials say the percentage jump of girls is reason for concern.
