Serpent's Trail atop the Colorado National Monument is closed after a Mountain Lion was spotted in the area earlier Thursday.
The Colorado Division of Wildlife says they got three calls from people saying they had seen a Mountain Lion.
Wildlife officers searched the trail and surrounding area for hours and found nothing.
They say lions are pretty reclusive and sightings are unusual.
Officials thought perhaps that the lion had killed an animal during the night and buried for later and may have been hanging out to protect it but found no evidence of that.
Officials say if you see a Mountain Lion make yourself as big as possible, talk loud and back away.
