The Colorado National Monument is closing down its roads to cars and challenging folks to walk, bike or jog the 14 miles up Rim Rock Drive.
It’s the ‘Walk Through Time’ in honor of National Public Lands Day which is Saturday.
The Monument will hold its first-ever Centennial Challenge.
It goes from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dogs are invited but must be kept on a short leash.
Parking is available at the Saddlehorn Picnic Area and entrance to the Monument is free.
Donations made at the event will go toward the Park’s 100th Anniversary which will be held in 2011.
