Clifton bank robbery suspect pleads guilty

A man accused of robbing the Clifton Wells Fargo has pled guilty to aggravated robbery.

Steven Erichsen was accused of five felony counts, including aggravated robbery and other charges in June when he ordered a teller to put money in a bag and told them he had a gun and would shoot them if they didn’t do what they were told.

He made off with more than $11,000 but was spotted running away from the bank and was soon captured by deputies.

The other felony charges against him were dropped as part of the plea deal.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in December and faces between 10 and 20 years in prison.
