The Department of Veteran Affairs says there’s some confusion for veterans out there expecting checks from the new GI Bill for their tuition.
Paul Sweeny with the Department of Veteran Affairs in Grand Junction says there’s a new Web site that will go live Friday that should help sort everything out and let student veterans know when they can expect their checks from the new GI Bill.
He says it’s supposed to take three days for the checks to arrive directly from the Treasury Department but that veterans should check the new Web site anyway for more information. Click the link below to get to the site, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on 'Advance Pay'.
