Western Slope Honor Flight announced Friday they’ll take a second group of WWII veterans to Washington, D.C.

Officials say the first honor flight was such a success that they unanimously voted to host another one.

The flight is dedicated to taking veterans to see the memorials dedicated in their honor.

The next flight will leave May 4 and plans are to take 191 veterans, guardians and medical personnel.

The trip is free to veterans but guardians are asked to pay a fee of $950 to accompany the veteran and provide care.

Donations are now being accepted. There are four levels of sponsorship available:
Platinum - $10,000
Gold - $5,000
