Graham Mesa Elementary in Garfield County is taking sanitizing to a new level.

Due to the death of a 7-year-old second grade student from Garfield County, the community and school district is doing everything they can to keep their students safe and healthy.

"My custodians have put a lot of time in over the past couple of weeks and they'll continue to do so as much as it takes. That's all we do. Clean, clean, clean," says Brenda Doty, custodian supervisor.

Every night the school is thoroughly sanitized so the kids return to a clean environment. Graham Mesa Elementary has also added hand sanitizer and cleaning stations throughout the school.

The school just hopes their efforts to stay germ free will keep the flu at bay.
