A 19-year-old man will serve one year in the Mesa County Jail for sexually assaulting a child.

Police say Forrest Kinnaman had a romantic relationship with a 13-year-old girl.

A cell phone video showed him and the victim being intimate.

In court Monday morning he told the judge “I just wanna make this right.”

In addition to a year in jail, Kinnaman will serve three years in Community Corrections for a series of misdemeanors and felonies including assault and drug possession.

One year!!!! and in county!!!Oh my, a smack on the hand for this fellow. So, does registering as a sex offender also apply?. Im curious as to such a short length of time for this one and yet many more get many more years than this for the same crime. It makes people wonder?. YEAH, I WANT THAT JUDGE is sure ringing out here.
