If you’re a teen and enjoy hunting, you could be eligible to go on a free guided deer hunting trip.
The experience is offered by the Colorado Division of Wildlife’s Hunter Outreach Program and a private land owner in the Meeker area.
To qualify, you must be between 12 and 17, hold a valid Colorado Hunter Safety Car, submit a letter to the DOW with contact information and a Hunter Safety Card Number.
They’re also asking you to provide previous hunting experience and a brief essay on why you should be chosen.
The student who wins must have passing grades in school and have at least one parent or guardian who can go along on the hunt.
