Take Fido out for a day of fun at the Animal Expo!

This weekend grab your pet and head over to the Western Slope Animal Expo Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Mesa County Fairgrounds.

Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for seniors 65 and over, $2 for kids under 12. One dollar from each entry will be contributed to Walk 4 Life and the Morris Animal Foundation.

9 a.m. Alls Welcome Camel Demonstration
9:30 a.m. 3R Ranch miniature horse demonstration
10:15 a.m. Cowboy Poet Archie Hughes
10:45 a.m. Fido Follies Dog Agility
11:15 a.m. Mounted Shooters of America
12 p.m. Integrative Equine Care Demonstration by Andrea Datz
12:30 p.m. Farrier Demonstration Brian Crandall
1 p.m. Fruita K-9 Unit
1:30 p.m. Bee Keeper Ray Gilbert
2 p.m. High Desert Dancers Arabian horse club
2:30 p.m. Alpacas demonstration
3 p.m. Friends of the Mustangs
3:30 p.m. Coloring Contest winner announced
All day events:
-Dog agility course
-Dog maze
-Heartworm and stool screenings by Orchard Mesa Vet Clinic until 1 p.m.
-Microchipping clinic by All Pets Center
-Pet Blessings by First United Methodist Church
-Pet Costume Contest by Roice Hurst Humane Society
