Grand Junction Police have identified the man who they say robbed the Walgreens store at 2900 North Avenue.

Just before 10 p.m. Sunday 23-year-old Kristen Sheeks entered the store at 29 Road and North Avenue and showed the cashier a gun.

He got cash and cigarettes then fled.

Police found him a short time later in some bushes north of the store.

Sheeks faces charges of aggravated robbery and misdemeanor theft.

Police say the weapon Sheeks snowed the clerk was just a small air gun, not a real loaded weapon.

It’s believed he took about $1,000 in cash and cigarettes.

Because the investigation is continuing, a mug shot of Sheeks is not available. The arrest affidavit for Sheeks is posted below.
