It’s national Domestic Violence Awareness month and you’re invited to step into the shoes of a domestic violence victim.

Lots of shoes are on display at the Mesa Mall as part of a domestic violence awareness campaign.

The display opened Monday in the JC Penny wing and will be up through Oct. 29.

The display was put up by Hilltop’s Latimer House and information on volunteering or helping this worthy organization is part of the display.

As part of national Domestic Violence Awareness month Hilltop’s Latimer House is hosting its 25th Anniversary Open House from 4 – 6 p.m. Monday night.

Everyone is welcome stop by to enjoy light food and beverages, no reservations are required.

Another way you can show your support for the fight against domestic violence is to wear a purple ribbon all month long to honor those affected by it and raise awareness.
