The Colorado Division of Wildlife searched a neighborhood in Orchard Mesa today after several residents reported seeing a black bear.
Witnesses say the bear crossed Chipeta Golf course before wandering into a subdivision by B road.
Officials say right now bears are trying to eat as much as possible before starting hibernation.
The Division of Wildlife says the first time they catch a bear in a residential neighborhood they tranquilize it and relocate it. The second time they put the bear down.
