GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - Special forensic investigators made a trip to Garfield County Saturday in hopes of finding new clues in the murder of 38-year-old Janine Ann Johler.
The Aurora woman was found dead in a Glenwood Springs orchard in June.
Now Garfield County Sheriff's office has joined forces with Necro Search International. Necro Search is a not-for-profit organization that has 20 years of experience scavenging crime scenes for missed evidence.
The organization is comprised of intellectuals from areas of law enforcement, academia and experts on how nature shifts over time. Thomas Bellinger is the President of Necro Search.
"What we're doing is looking at the physical environment trying to get an idea of how things might move in the physical environment over time and see if that can lead us to some solution over time," says Bellinger.
Garfield County Sergeant Don Breier says there is a mystery behind this case and with the help of Necro Search team, they hope they can bring closer to the Johler family.
