GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A Grand Junction woman was arrested Sunday after sheriff’s deputies say she attacked them when they responded to her parent’s call for help.

Twenty-three–year–old Fanchon Lafaver is charged with several counts of assault on a police officer as well as resisting arrest, harassment and criminal mischief.

Her parents called 911 for help after they told Lafaver to leave the house because she’d been drinking.

They told deputies they locked themselves in their room because they were afraid of her, she even told her mother she hoped she’d die of cancer.

Deputies say when they arrived she ignored their commands, kicked, screamed, cussed and spit at them.

They say they were forced to put a spit hood and leg restraints on her.

She is being held on a $7,500 bond.
