GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Grand Junction has attracted a major anchor store to the Mesa Mall.

Officials with Cabela’s say they’re planning to open a store early next summer.

The 75,000 foot store will take over the old Mervyn’s space at the mall.

It’s Cabela’s first Colorado store, and will include a gun library, wildlife conservation displays and trophy animal mounts.

The store will carry hunting, fishing, camping, boating, hiking, clothing gifts and more.

This would be great, although I can't believe Cabelas would join up with a mall. When you visit Cabelas stores, it's an experience in itself. I would think this space would be WAY too small. I would love a Cabelas nearby, but I don't want to settle for a quarter of a Cabelas store!!
