GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - 11 News cameras will be rolling in the courtroom when a Whitewater woman accused of killing her husband has her day in court.

Mesa County Judge Valerie Robinson has ruled that KKCO can record Miriam Helmick's trial.

Helmick's trial is scheduled to start in November and last five weeks.

The former dance instructor is accused of shooting her husband Alan Helmick and then trying to make the murder look like a home invasion.

Prosecutors also allege that Helmick killed her first husband in Florida seven years ago.

Helmick will be back in court Wednesday.
