GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A pickup truck hit a power pole on North Avenue, knocking out power for hundreds of residents overnight.

The accident happened just after 1 a.m. Wednesday.

According to witnesses, the truck partially knocked over a power pole on North Avenue.

It took Xcel Energy less than three hours to restore power, but both westbound and eastbound lanes of North Avenue between 29 ½ Road to I-70B were shut down.

Also, snow weighed down a tree branch in Clifton over E Road, causing the branch to fall across the road. Power in the area was knocked out.
