GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A phone scam warning for our viewers.

The Better Business Bureau says it’s received several complaints about a phoney call from someone claiming to be from Reader's Digest.

The scammer says you've won a large amount of money, but then requests that you send a money order to help pay for part of the tax.

An 11 News viewer and Grand Junction resident got a call like this but she didn't fall for it, and instead reported the incident to the authorities.

The Better Business Bureau says be suspicious anytime someone tells you you've won something or wants you to send a money order.
