GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Colorado State Patrol says driver fatigue may have led to a fatal accident on the Interstate Thursday night.
Just before 8 p.m. Thursday Troopers were notified of a single vehicle rollover on I-70 near milepost 29.
Emergency responders arrived to find a black 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck on it's left side in the median. The driver was the only person in the truck. He is described as an elderly man from California, and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Mesa County Coroner's Office.
Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the crash, but troopers on the scene say the man may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
His name has not yet been released.
