Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) -- Families of all shapes and sizes turned up at Riverbend Park in Palisade Saturday to take advantage of Colorado's great outdoors.
It was part of the sixth annual Outdoor Heritage Day. More than 40 different organizations participated in the event, setting up games and displays for people of all ages. Activities included fishing, archery, fly tying, gold panning, gymnastics and rifle shooting, among many other things.
The event is free every year, and 2,600 people took advantage of it this year, which is a record breaking number.
