GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A tough economy doesn’t mean you have to miss out on a hearty Thanksgiving feast.
Local restaurants, shelters and churches are dishing up plenty to be thankful for this year.
Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley, 1022 Grand Avenue, will be serving up a social hour, Thanksgiving dinner and game night Thursday starting at 3 p.m.
Johnny 50’s Old Fashioned Pizza is serving up turkey and different kinds of pie from 1 – 4 p.m. They’re only asking you bring a dish to share when you show up to 569 32 Road.
As usual, the Salvation Army, is hosting dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Elks Lodge, 249 S. 4th Street, and if you can’t wait, stop by the Rescue Mission, 550 South Avenue, Wednesday night for Thanksgiving fare starting at 7 p.m.
