GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The annual Parade of Lights is right around the corner and this year, there are more than 100 entries, making this the largest parade in years!
One local mom is making sure her float makes more than a glowing impression on the eyes.
Cheryl Bambino's says her float for her son's school will not only dazzle with lights, but with good cheer too. Bambino and her family are taking donations to fill up the sleigh for the homeless.
“It's still for Lincoln Elementary School. We're just making it a bigger better thing this year," she says. "We're going to do something for the homeless after the Parade of Lights.”
Bambino is asking for donations to fill up their sleigh of cheer float. Anything from toys to food is welcome and if you would like to donate you can drop off items at Dare to Care at 2914 North Avenue.
