When will the other retailers catch up with Albertson's and drop the phoney "card discount" ripoff. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence can check and see that the stores in a lot of cases, apparently raise prices before they "discount" the price to a card holder. I actually had a checker confirm this one time. The net result is that often you can find the same item in a store that doesn't offer the card "discount", at a lower price. When the merchant is asked why they do this, their response always is, "we want to reward our faithful customers". The flipside of this is that they of course are sticking it to the faithful who don't want to stuff their wallet with a bunch of plastic or those customers who are just happened to be passing through the town. Come on public, wake to the ripoffs. Shop places that don't 'require' that you play their games in order to get their so called "discount".
