GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Two water line breaks early Friday morning have kept crews busy.

The breaks happened in residential areas. The first was discovered around 4 a.m. Friday at 1536 North 18th Street in a six-inch cast iron pipe. City officials say water has already been restored and the break should be fixed by 11 a.m.

The second was at 518 Eastgate Court. That residence will be without water for six to seven hours until the break can be repaired. City officials say they expect that to be around 3 p.m. Friday.

City officials say the pipes broke because of the cold weather.
