GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Hooters opened its doors for its Grand Opening Monday to find a line of more than 100 people waiting outside.

People stood out in the cold for hours and created a line that wrapped around the parking lot, all because Hooters was giving away free hot winds for a year to the first 100 people in line.

Not everyone who showed up got free wings because more than 100 people were in line, but there were still a number of door prizes.

The restaurant has a covered patio, full oyster bar and 18 big screen TVs.

And, if you order up Coors Light, Hooters will donate some of the proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
