GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - County commissioners and local business officials teamed up to make a big announcement Thursday.
Calling it "Open For Business", they introduced a new county–wide push to spur local business and encourage local development. They hope it will help stimulate the local economy, and preserve and create local jobs.
The new plan involves several measures, from cutting taxes and fees to making business development steps easier. Local officials also hope if doing business here in Mesa County is easier and less expensive it will help grow the economy, create jobs, and eventually, despite the monetary cuts, come back to the county, anyway.
