UPDATE: Faulty Transformer Repaired, Power Restored
Power has been restored to Gateway, Whitewater, and parts of Orchard Mesa and Clifton after being knocked out for nearly eight hours Friday.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Power has been restored to Gateway, Whitewater, and parts of Orchard Mesa and Clifton after being knocked out for nearly eight hours Friday.

Grand Valley Power says around 9:00am Friday, a transformer that feeds powers to those areas failed.

Officials say crews successfully replaced that transformer, and power was back up around 4:45pm.
